Hello! My name is Janea Taylor and I am a software/web developer from Austin, TX. I have lived in this beautiful city since October 2000 and feel privileged to call it home. I re-located here from Chicago, IL where I lived for nearly 15 years. I absolutely love this city and what I do for a living.

Having been in the information technology field for over 10 years, I have acquired many technical skills spanning across several different areas of technology. These areas include networking, systems administration, security, as well as application and web development. I truly enjoy working in this field and am driven by the mere force of technology. I thrive on learning new languages, protocols, and other technical jargon.

My most recent full time position was with Oracle Corporation where I was employed as a Systems Availability Analyst II. My daily duties while at Oracle included LAN/WAN component management and configuration, routing and remote access administration, application support as well as customer assistance. I also participated in the development of a few internal applications and tools, which have helped to increase productivity and streamline many of the tasks that the support team is responsible for.

After several years of working in the corporate world, I decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in computer programming as it has become my passion. Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude in December of 2006, I began seeking out development work. After some time of searching, I was given the opportunity to take on a few projects and luckily it worked out well.
